Client rights
My objective is to serve my clients needs to the best of my ability within my scope of practice. If at anytime the client feels uncomfortable for any reason, please let me know immediately. Together, we can work towards addressing the clients needs. This includes feedback about too much or too little pressure, whether to talk or not, pain, temperature, lighting, music, and sensations experienced both on or off the table. This time is for the client.
Confidentiality
All health and personal information given during a massage session are confidential. This information will only be shared with a third party if:
-information regarding child abuse has been disclosed
-legally subpoenaed
-the client has given written consent
Cancellation/Late Policy
Without 24 hour notice of cancellation, the client will be charged 50% of the full fee. If I need to cancel, the client will be contacted 24 hours in advance. In the event I cancel within 24 hours of the session, the session will be rescheduled and free of charge. If the client shows up late within the first 15 minutes of the session, a shortened session will be given; if the client shows up more than 15 minutes late, the session will be terminated and the client will be charged 50% of the fee for the session. Contact me via phone or email more than 24 hours in advance. Only phonecalls will be accepted if cancelling within 24hrs.
Payment
I accept cash, check, and credit card payments. Payment is expected at time of service. A $30 fee will be charged for returned checks.
Scope of Practice
In the event that the needs of the client should surpass my scope of practice, information or referrals will be provided to assist the client accordingly.
Client/Therapist Relationship
These massage sessions are therapeutic and non-sexual in nature. Although therapeutic massage can prompt a physical response to intimate touch, this is not the intention of the massage. At no time is the client permitted to make a massage sexual in any way. If the client violates this part of the professional relationship the session will be immediately terminated and the client will not be reimbursed. To ensure proper client/therapist relationships, I will not date or socialize with clients outside of the office.
Intoxicant Policy
Massage enhances circulation and aids in the removal of toxins in the body. If the client shows up under the influence of intoxicants, or appears to be under the influence of any type of intoxicant, the session will be terminated; the full fee for the session will be charged.
